Biography
He studied in Madrid and received two high Spanish decorations, as well as Egypt's State Appreciation Prize (1997). His paintings recorded the battles of Port Said, the High Dam and the October War, and his work is held by 24 museums and institutions around the world, including collections in Saudi Arabia. Born in Cairo in 1917, he died in October 2018.
